The Gateway Bank building in Daytona Beach began as a one story restaurant. The design focus was to create the corporate headquarters of the bank in part of the structure and a commercial bank in the remainder of the building. The design divides the building into a 2,645 s.f. office suite and a 2,340 s.f. banking center with shared lobby and public restroom facilities. The exterior of the structure utilizes the large existing overhangs and independent columns in conjunction with a new stone wainscot and stucco finish on the remainder of the walls. A parapet has been added with featured outcroppings to add visual interest. A three lane drive-thru has been added on the north side of the building.
