The design focus of the Spring Garden Branch of Mainstreet Community Bank was to create a functional building with aesthetic appeal. Situated on a strategic corner in northeast DeLand, this new branch bank building was designed to emulate the architectural motif established in the corporate headquarters building in downtown DeLand. The structure is one-story with a stucco finish over concrete masonry with sculpted EFIS at the towers. Interior features include a barrel vault ceiling along the main axis of the building and angled teller stations crafted in cherry woodwork and stone tops which radiate a warm and inviting atmosphere while providing privacy to each customer. The exterior of the building is embraced by the landscape design which was personally done by Mr. Carter. It includes the use of native species and xeriscaping while creating seasonal variations through flowering plants and by installing deciduous trees.
